The Harrisville Designs boat shuttle is made of hardwood and are finely sanded and finished.  This shuttle holds the 4" hardwood bobbins.  A spring operated shaft holds the bobbin securely yet releases easily for quick, convenient reloading.
 
This particular 12" Boat Shuttle is recommended for general weaving and the smaller  8" “Shuttlette for narrow warps.
