Bobbin Cushions are supplied to help justify your bobbin center relative to your Autowinder. It is a common occurrence to have a little variation from wheel to wheel in all manufactures. These cushions are added to the back or front of your flyer shaft to  eliminate those variations. Some wheels only need one, others need a couple and few wheels need non at all. Please no that we ship two cushions with ever flyer:-)
These also help make some wheels quiet, they do not add drag as we use impregnated dry lubricant polyolefin non woven fabric to manufacture these, So there is no need to lubricate. However they do make really nice oiler disks if you choose to add a drop ;) for those wheels that have a lot of mileage.
