Tussar silk comes from the cocoons of the silkworm belonging to the moth genus Antheraea and is known as “Wild Silk” as the silkworms live in the wild forests belonging to the Terminalia species.
This lovely soft Katia Tussar silk is valued for its rich texture and deep gold/cream coloration and is perfect for fibre arts, weaving, knitting and crochet projects bringing individuality and elegance to any fibre project.
