A superb Octaganol shaped jug with bulbous lower section on flat base, and concave fluted panels.  This jug came from Dillwyn's Cambrian pottery and dates from around 1831-1850.  The jug has mouldings, of decorations of grapes, pears, pumpkins and small florets. The handle holds the original green paint and the rim outlined in original ochre.

This jug is a truly fabulous example of a piece of Welsh history and industry, and such pieces are becoming increasingly rare to find.

The jug measures 14.5cm in height.
