Calcium carbonate otherwise also known simply as chalk acts as a mordant when using natural dyes.   Calcium carbonate helps to increase the pick up of certain natural dyes into fibres, improving light and colour fastness.
 
This will be supplied in paper pouches.  There may be times due to stocking levels that this product will be supplied in smaller 25g pouches, but will always be made up to the total weight/volume purchased.
